HB Central

The HB Central redevelopment gives a new lease of life to an important part of Auckland’s CBD building history. Ambitiously stitching together two of Auckland’s oldest buildings into retail and office space offerings.

Working with the Warren and Mahoney architecture and interior teams I helped develop the signage and brand identity offering for the space. Including functional wayfinding within the building and external marketing collateral to promote the offering. All outputs aiming to extend and celebrate the rich character and modern redevelopment of the space.

Amplify

Amplify: The Creator Series at Warren and Mahoney’s Christchurch studio is a biannual event inviting talented creatives and collaborators in to present and speak to their unique endeavours. Encouraging dialogue from the best in their business - from architecture to culinary to art to tech, and everything in-between and beyond.

The identity for Amplify is formed around the interaction of linework. Radiating waveforms that speak to the amplification and movement of ideas outwards. As a multi-event series, the identify is designed to be flexible in expression and format, providing a consistent structure but unique look for each event.

Te Tihi – Aurecon Workplace

Aurecon sought a workplace design that would deliver on their purpose of ‘Bringing Ideas to Life’, to imagine and co-create with their clients a better future for people and the planet. I helped develop the environmental graphics for the space, evolving from collaboration with local iwi Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.

Gifted with the narrative and symbolism of the ‘Niho Taniwha’, the pattern system is built off a single hatched form. Modular by design, the pattern can be dailed up in both size and expression depending on the location. It finds form on the underbelly of the feature stair, on feature wall finishes and incorporated into the bi-lingual wayfinding signage and glass manifestations.

Matariki Handbook

Driven by Te Matakīrea, the Indigenous Design Unit within Warren and Mahoney, this handbook seeks to further our staff understanding of the significance of the Māori new year. In the lead up to the holiday, copies were produced and distributed across all our studios.

Included is an explanation of the stars, Matariki and Puanga, acknowledgement to the development of the Te Kāhui o Matariki Public Holiday Act and a navigational guide to finding the stars.

Doc Edge

A new brand for the home of documentary storytelling. Working with the Hula team I helped develop and rollout a brand identity for Doc Edge that demonstrates their purpose with structure and strong opinions.

The identity uses a linear device that allows them to frame content and present an opinion about the power of documentary film-making. Deployed across both physical, digital and social channels, this identity flexes and adapts to connect Doc Edge with a diverse audience.
